About Infosec Communicator

Welcome to my blog. I’m Ben Woelk and I’m Information Security Policy and Awareness Analyst at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I’m the Awareness and Training Working Group co-chair of the EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Higher Education Information Security Council and I’m the Immediate Past President of the Rochester chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.

This blog is devoted to my thoughts on improving the state of information security awareness through  Web 2.0 tools and my thoughts on keeping technical communication relevant. You may also find the occasional musing on other subjects of interest.

You can follow my postings on Twitter (@benwoelk, @RIT_infosec, @Stc_rochester), Google+, or check out my LinkedIn profile.

Oh, and one last thing: the opinions expressed in this blog are mine alone and are not representative of current or past employers, yadda yadda yadda.

Thanks for visiting!

I was wondering if you accept guest post for your blog. If you do, I would like to submit a few. I’m a recent college graduate, with an English major, looking to build out my portfolio. I can write on a wide variety of topics and am sure you would be happy with the quality. Please email me back if you are interested. Thank you for your time.
